Hi everyone! I’ve decided to make a new body scrub, and I did it a bit differently then the last body scrub I posted about. As with all body scrubs, this one is super easy and can be done in only three steps!
The differences with this body scrub is the addition of almond oil and a mixture of calming essential oils. In this post I will show you how to make this body scrub, all the ingredients you will need, and where you can find the ingredients.
I just recently started using almond oil for my skin and have found that it works amazing at healing my dry skin. The essential oils I used also make this scrub smell so good and make it a great addition to any relaxing shower or bath. I hope you guys like it!
What you will need:
- 2 Cups of White / Brown Sugar
- 3/4 Cup of Coconut Oil
- 2 Tbsp of Almond Oil
- 1 Tbsp of Vitamin E Oil
- 10-15 Drops Each of Lavender, Rosemary, & Frankincense Essential Oils
This recipe makes about 16 oz of body scrub. At the end of this post, I have included links where you can find each of the ingredients listed above.
I like my scrubs really oily because I have such bad dry skin, but if you like them less oily, you can change the recipe to 1/4 cup – 1/2 cup of coconut oil instead*.
Step 1: Melt the coconut oil so that it becomes liquified.
Step 2: Next, add the almond oil and essential oils to the coconut oil and stir until combined.
Step 3: Add the oil mixture to two cups of brown or white sugar. I chose brown sugar for this recipe. Mix the oil and sugar until combined.
So easy, the sugar scrub is finished! Now all that’s left is to put it in a container of your choice. I hope you guys like this scrub! Below I will show you where you can get all the ingredients for this scrub.
I’ve always used C&H brown sugar. If your in need of some brown sugar, this brand can be found on Amazon in packs of two here ($12.84).
The Spectrum coconut oil has been in some of my previous posts. I’ve been using it for awhile now and love using it for all sorts of things, it can be purchased here ($7.58).
The almond oil I use is from the Aura Cacia brand, and also has Vitamin E in it as well. I still like to add some more to my scrubs to make them really hydrating. It can be purchased here ($3.38).
Sadly, I don’t think you can find the TopCare vitamin E oil online, but there is another brand on Amazon that is fairly inexpensive. I honestly want to give it a try once I run out of the TopCare oil. It can be found here ($11.99).
The essential oils I used for this mask come in a set on Amazon. I received them as a gift for Christmas and love all the different kinds it comes with! It includes tea tree, lavender, eucalyptus, frankincense, lemongrass, lemon, rosemary, orange, and peppermint essential oils. The set can be purchased here ($24.99).
