Makeup Routine / Current Favorite Beauty Products

Posted on March 1, 2020March 1, 2020 by s.marsh.c

Hi everyone! Because I haven’t done a beauty-related post in awhile, I figured I’d put together this post of my current favorite beauty products that I use in my makeup routine.

I don’t typically apply much makeup unless there’s a special event or occasion coming up. So the items on this list are the makeup products that I use regularly. (I’d say daily but we all know I don’t wear makeup on a daily basis. 😉)

At the end of this post I’ve included before and after pictures. I usually never post pictures of myself on here so I’m super nervous! If you have any tips, feel free to share in the comments.

In this post, I've put together all of my current favorite beauty products that I use in my regular makeup routine. I've also included before and after photos so you can see how well these products work. #makeup #makeuproutine #routine #products #makeupproducts #beauty #skincare #TooFaced #Origins #Anastasia #KatVonD #MarioBadescu #affiliate #Amazon

Mario Badescu Toner:

Before applying any makeup, I always make sure to apply my Mario Badescu glycolic acid toner to make sure my skin is bright and smooth. I love this toner because it always makes my skin feel so much brighter and is a nice, gentle exfoliator.

I know, I know I’m almost out! Will definitely need to be ordering more of this toner ASAP!

Origins SPF 15 Tinted Moisturizer:

I tend to like minimal coverage unless there’s a special occasion, so I typically use this Origins moisturizer as my foundation. It’s super hydrating for my skin and I know I’m safe going outdoors because it’s SPF 15.

Makeup Routine

This moisturizer is also great for providing light coverage for days at the beach or pool. Origins also has a tinted moisturizer with SPF 40 if you’re looking for more protection from the sun.

Smashbox Camera Ready BB Cream:

This is one of my usual makeup products that might have to be replaced soon. I’m not even sure if they still sell this Smashbox BB cream in stores anymore.

Makeup Routine

Because this BB cream is a bit heavier of a coverage, I like to use this as a concealer under my eyes and on any bad blemishes.

Too Faced Cocoa Powder Foundation:

This is another product that will have to be replaced when I run out. I’m almost certain they don’t sell this Too Faced powder in stores! I like to apply this really lightly just to get rid of any shine left from the tinted moisturizer and BB cream.

Too Faced Powder

I think since I use it so lightly, that’s why it has lasted me so long! This powder also gives a nice, light bronze and smells amazing. Unfortunately, I could only find it in ‘tan’ on Amazon. The one I use is ‘golden light’.

Kat Von D Lock-It Setting Powder:

I love this Kat Von D Setting Powder! It works so good at setting my makeup and giving an overall matte finish to my skin.

I like this setting powder especially for setting the BB cream under my eyes so that it doesn’t wear off or show lines throughout the day. I usually leave this on as I apply my contour, then blend it out afterwards.

Anastasia Powder Contour Kit:

Anastasia products are some of my favorites! This Anastasia contour set has been my go-to for years. I really like how some colors are warmer than others for the summer months.

This Anastasia pallet has served me well since I got it! You can tell because of how beat up the outside is. It has pretty much everything you need for contouring. All of the powders work great as eyeshadows too!

Makeup Routine

Now for before and after pictures following my usual makeup routine! These pictures really show how well these products work, especially that BB cream with covering up my dark circles!

Makeup Routine

Well that’s all for my makeup routine! It’s not much, but like I said, I don’t typically wear much makeup unless there is a really special occasion.

If you’d like to see a certain product used in this post, I’ve gathered everything that I used below. Feel free to share any tips or suggestions you have too!
